Dr. Rostami believes in personalized care for her patients and dedicates as much time as needed to listen, explain and involve her patients in the decision-making process. During her fellowship at NorthShore University Health System/ University of Chicago, she established the Pelvic Floor Ultrasound Clinic and the Women Bowel Clinic with Dr. Goldberg, and joined the NorthShore practice in summer 2020.
She is skilled in minimally invasive (laparoscopic, vaginal and robotic) surgical and nonsurgical treatments for women with pelvic floor disorders. Dr. Rostami is well published in the field of urogynecology, specifically imaging and ultrasound, with more than 100 peer reviewed publications, presentations, and book chapters.
Passion and curiosity have always shaped Dr. Rostami’s unconventional life. Born and raised in the Middle East, she entered the highest-ranking medical school in her country, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and finished medical school with honors in only 6.5 years. She went on to continue her education in Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the same institution. After moving to the United States in search of extra training, she finished her second residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Inova Fairfax Hospital, Virginia Commonwealth University and her fellowship in urogynecology at NorthShore University Health System/ University of Chicago.
Dr. Rostami enjoys spending her free time with family and friends and cooking for them. She bikes over the weekends and recently resumed playing Golf. She also speaks Farsi and welcomes all Farsi speaking patients to her office.
